Full of love, full of wonder

Full of Love, Full of Wonder is an installation piece I recently stumbled upon by artist Nike Savvas.

Originally exhibited in Melborne 2005 at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art, the piece features 50,000 coloured balls suspended by strings of fishing line to create an illusionary floating effect. Nearby wall mounted fans interact with the piece, causing the balls to vibrate.

More recent work by Savvas includes extremely intricate geometric thread installations like these:

I’d love to go see them, alas, despite being London based Savvas mainly exhibits in Australia, where she is originally from. The works above were in an exhibition called ‘No Gods No Kings’ in Sydney.
